To request a commissioned abstract painting, please fill out the quick inquiry form below.
• Desired canvas size
• Two to four colors you would like featured in your finished painting
• Any colors you would like omitted, if applicable

You're also welcome to send room inspiration photos, colors or fabric swatches, and examples of any of my past work that especially resonated with you.

PAYMENT PROCESS

After I receive your emailed commission request, I will send you an invoice for the deposit (25% of the total). Once your deposit has been received, I will add you to my commission listing Typical turnaround is four to six weeks from the time I start painting (I will notify you otherwise). Upon completion, I will send you a photo of your custom painting (or you are welcome to come to my Washington, D.C. studio to see it in person). At this point, one round of changes can be made if necessary — I want to make sure you are pleased with the finished piece! If everyone is happy, the remaining 75% is due prior to shipment of the painting. Shipping is not included in the price of the piece and will be determined based on your location and whether we decide to ship boxed, crated or rolled.

If you'd like more information about any of my paintings or have an interest in commissioning a piece, I'd love to hear from you!

How do I begin a commission order?

Choose the right size for your space and budget. You can give me color ideas by sending interior paint colors, fabric swatches, or photos. Look through the site and tell me the titles of the pieces you are attracted to but might not be the right size & I can help you with the rest. Your order officially begins when you have officially chosen a size and made your deposit.

What if I want changes once the piece is in progress?

As long as you like my current work and allow me my fair share of artistic control, I am happy to accommodate your opinions and a few edits. I will send in progress photos so you feel able to express your opinions before the piece is even considered "finished" and this makes it easier for me to get it just right.

How does payment work for commissions?

You can pay in two installments—50% deposit up front to begin your order & the remaining half when your painting is complete and you are 100% pleased with the finished piece.

What if I am not 100% satisfied with the piece?

I work closely with customers while the piece is in progress to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the color, balance, mood, & direction of the piece. You are not obligated to purchase the painting, and if you were to decide that it is not for you or your space, you will be able to use your 50% deposit as store credit to apply to another painting. However, this has never happened before, so hopefully you would not be the first.

How long will it take to get my commission painting?

Generally 8-12 weeks, depending on the season, but I love a good deadline so if you have something specific coming up—an anniversary, party, etc. I will do my best to get it to you by then.
